Last fall, on a relatively blah Friday night, I started blogging. I did pretty well for a while, but then, I lost momentum.
I haven’t posted since December, and that’s a problem. It’s a problem because I sometimes think I have a lot to share, but somehow, I never find the time to do so.
After last night’s #worldgeochat, I again realized that I need to share. Geography is sometimes given the short shrift, and I can’t be part of the reason why. Because of that, I’m vowing to post at least once a week for the rest of the school year.
We, as a profession, need to share our successes. For those of us in the geography world, we know that our curriculum is essential to students of all ages. We discussed how we need to get them excited about our content, and engaged in our classrooms. When we have that moment of success – we need to share it, build on it, and share it again!
I’ll post a great lesson soon, but I had to myself restarted in the blogging world.
